The Best of the Best

  1. **Soothing Hydration Cream by Marin $35**
    1. This is the one that I want to try the most. The science behind it is new and exciting. LOBSTERS?! Yes!
  2. **Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream by Avene $42**
    1. This is the moisturizer I would try if I was starting my journey all over again. Avene has a reputation for non-irritating ingredients and this cream is supposed to be so soothing that it won an award for the best product to use on sunburns.
    2. currently running a 25% off site wide promo
  3. **Lipid Gold by Stratia $27**
    1. This is the moisturizer that I’ve been using since October 2023, though it’s been on my radar since like 2017. It is working really well. I just bought my second bottle. The science behind this product has been raved about by reddit users in skincare forums for a long time for good reason. It’s very good at addressing a compromised moisture barrier. It has humectants and occlusives in the right ratio and it has my favorite powerhouse ingredients of all time, Niacinamide. She really is that girl who does it all.
    2. I rarely change products that work because I run the risk of activating my acne but CERAMIDIN™ SKIN BARRIER MOISTURIZING CREAM by Dr Jart+ is no longer available on Yesstyle (my preferred retailer for Asian Skincare) and is too expensive to buy in the USA.

Notable Mentions (Crowd Pleasers)

  1. People really love Trader Joes skincare products. I wouldn’t trust any claims of antioxidants (vitamin C, E, Green Tea, etc.) because those are hard to stabilize in a formulation and the prices don’t align BUT I would take a chance on it just because the price is right.
  2. **Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer by First Aid Beauty $28**
    1. Even Jeff likes this one. Reputable brand and ingredients, caters to folks with skin sensitivities. Formulation is texturally pleasant.
  3. **Daily Oil-Free Hydrating Face Lotion with Hyaluronic Acid by Cetaphil $15**
    1. Personal opinion but I think Cetaphil is better than Cerave. My mom has the most sensitive skin int he whole world and this is about all she can use. She loves it. I think it’s fine
  4. **PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion by Cerave $15**
    1. Cerave is so hyped up. Maybe it’s worthy of the hype. Lots of people are satisfied by it. Dermatologists recommend it (so I hear) but I once had a cream that was too thick to use so that soured the brand for me.

I highly recommend just buying from Asia because their prices and products are BETTER THAN ThE weST

  1. **Fermented Hydra Ceramide Lotion by Wish Formula $27**
    1. If your skin cells are like bricks, ceramides and fatty acids are like the mortar holding them together. Prioritize Cermides in your moisturizer. This one also has ferments for PH and balancing the microbiome.
  2. **Midnight Blue Calming Cream by Dear Klairs $26**
    1. Been around forever and not going anywhere. (Lots of my favorite moisturizers have been discontinued so this is saying something) Calming, soothing, well-loved by the community
  3. **Glutathione Niacinamide Facial Cream by APLB $10**
    1. Great ingredients. I have the body lotion version of this and it helps my dry skin so much. Small container so keep that in mind.
  4. **Madagascar Centella Poremizing Light Gel Cream by Skin 1004 $13**
    1. I have the sunscreen from this line and it’s very light and airy. This one might help with pores or oily skin but if you don’t suffer from that, I’d pass.
